Privacy Policy

Open-Write and Open-Write Studio do not collect, store, process, or sell any personal data from visitors to this site or users of this software.

What we don't do

Information you send us directly

If you contact us by email or open an issue, discussion, or pull request on our GitHub repositories, any information you choose to share in that message (such as your email address, GitHub username, or the content of your message) is kept internal to Open-Write and is not sold, shared, or distributed to any third party. We use it only to respond to you or to maintain the project.

GitHub's own handling of any information you post on GitHub (issues, comments, commits, etc.) is governed by GitHub's Privacy Statement, not by us.

Third-party services

Open-Write Studio supports connecting your own API keys to third-party AI model providers (for example, via OpenRouter or direct provider APIs) at your choice. Any data you send through those connections is subject to that provider's own privacy policy and terms — we do not see, store, or have access to that traffic.

Downloads of signed releases are distributed via GitHub Releases and, where applicable, SignPath's signing infrastructure. Standard hosting/CDN logs kept by GitHub or SignPath as part of their own infrastructure are outside our control and are covered by their respective privacy policies.

Children's privacy

This software and site are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and post the revised version at this same location.
